Learning how to positively touch and play with your baby can be such a joyous
experience for both you and your baby. Baby Massage has been practiced for many
years in different cultures and countries and is a simple way of showing your
affection and love for your baby. Baby massage is mostly offered as a
skin-to-skin activity whereby you stroke your unclothed baby's body with
natural oils.
Babies also love to have their limbs moved in the same way that they move
themselves and this is called Baby Yoga. Essentially Baby Yoga is a form of
gentle exercise and movement for babies. The postures and movements have been
adapted from classic Hatha Yoga postures which are partly its origin and these
movements can be practiced from birth onwards. Parents do not need to be
familiar with Yoga in order to do Baby Yoga.
